Chris Sherry has been involved with the Law Enforcement Torch Run since his first Torch Run along California’s Pacific Coast Highway in 1996. Over the years, he has maintained a love and enthusiasm for Special Olympics Northern California and support for athletes. He started his law enforcement career 26 years ago and currently serves as a captain of a California law enforcement agency. He is the fourth of five generations of law enforcement officers in his family. Chris serves on the Special Olympics Northern California Law Enforcement Torch Run Executive Committee and supports Special Olympics by coordinating fundraising and events. He is the former Chairperson of his department's Advisory Committee for Persons with Disabilities. He enjoys cycling, hiking, hunting and fishing. He is married to his college sweetheart Sheryl, and they have two children, Christopher and Andrea.
