SPORT SEASON
March - June

Swimming is one of the most popular sports in the world. Unlike other sports, swimming is a life skill that is taught, first, to ensure safety and, secondly, for sports and competition purposes. Swimming covers a great variety of swimming skills, from short sprints to longer events and relays. Coaches receive training to enable them to coach swimmers of all abilities, from strong fast competitors to swimmers who require assistance or floating devices in order to compete.

Expand Your Knowledge!

We believe it is important for our coaches to receive certification training in order to provide them with the tools needed to help our athletes have a positive sport experience. By taking the online certification training, coaches will learn best practices when approaching sports training with our athletes. Certification is required for certain coaching situations and recommended for all coaches. Please also make sure to check out the SONC/SONV Rules and the National Governing Body Rules for Swimming (below).
