What We Do

The Schools Partnership Program of Special Olympics Northern California is a unique education program in PreK – Transition schools (ages 18-22). The program unifies students with and without disabilities through sports and Whole School Engagement. These activities educate students with the skills necessary to sustainably develop school communities that promote inclusion, acceptance and respect for all students.

Respect Campaign for Schools

Our Mission

To provide athletic opportunities to school-age children with intellectual disabilities

To foster a better understanding amongst their non-disabled peers

To instill in all students the confidence needed to succeed in life.

Superintendent Recognition

As a teacher and former coach, I am excited by the progress the Special Olympics Schools Partnership Program is making to bring Unified Sports to more and more of our schools. Unified Sports helps general education and special education students feel involved and valued in their school community by teaching key values like acceptance and respect in a healthy and active way.
