Grab your friends or coworkers and join Bay Area sports teams for the 2023 Bocce Bash to benefit Special Olympics Northern California on Wednesday, May 10, at Campo di Bocce in Los Gatos.
Through your support at the Bocce Bash, Special Olympics NorCal is empowered to use sports to jumpstart change, spark joy, and unite people with and without intellectual disabilities to create a more connected community for us all.
Try your hand in a fun bocce tournament alongside Special Olympics athletes and members of teams such as the 49ers, Earthquakes and more! Bocce is an inclusive and interactive sport that allows people of all abilities to compete together. The event will also include a silent auction and a variety of Italian cuisine, wine and beer selections.

We were excited to be joined by San Francisco 49ers players(pictured, top) including Mike McGlinchey, our Bocce Bash co-chair, along with Robbie Gould, Emmanuel Moseley, Jake Brendel and Keaton Sutherland. San Jose Earthquakes players (pictured, right) JT Marcinkowski and Jack Skahan also competed and enjoyed the festivities alongside our Special Olympics athletes and supporters.
The 2022 Bocce Bash featured a competitive bocce and cornhole tournaments won by Team Deb Pickering and Team CMS Plumbing, respectively. Additional highlights included great food and wine, a silent auction, wine pull, and guest speaking opportunities by McGlinchey and others. Local Bay Area mascots Sourdough Sam and SJ Sharkie were also there to entertain guests.
