Oakland Athletics Host Disability Awareness Night

Athletes pose with an A's employee during Disability Awareness Night

Special Olympics Northern California was invited to participate in the Oakland A's Disability Awareness Night on Monday, Oct. 3, at RingCentral Coliseum.

The A's invited Special Olympics athletes, coaches, families and staff to watch the game and offered a special ticket link for fans to purchase and donate to Special Olympics. Our athletes also had the opportunity to watch batting practice on the field, meet some of the players, run out on the field for the National Anthem, throw the ceremonial first pitch, and take part in both radio and TV interviews with A's broadcasters. Thank you to the A's for supporting Special Olympics and promoting a community of inclusion for people of all abilities!
