San Mateo County has a great group of athletes and coaches! We believe in team work and working together with our goal always to create a friendly and fun environment to help our athletes be successful. We welcome new athletes and can always use more volunteers!
San Mateo
San Mateo County is proud to offer training and competitions in 10 sports for the Special Olympics athletes. Volunteers enjoy working with the athletes to prepare them for competitions. San Mateo County offers a wide range of skills levels so that athletes train with their peers of equal skills levels.
San Mateo County also offers a schools partnership program, which offers training and competition in basketball, soccer and track & field to special needs students during their normal school day. Learn more about the San Mateo County Schools Partnership Program.
