Fresno County Schools Partnership Program

The Fresno Unified School District and Special Olympics Northern California formed a unique partnership to make Special Olympics an integral part of special education in Fresno County. In addition to the three school-day sports, many of the Schools Partnership Program student-athletes also compete in some of the 11 traditional community sports offered by Special Olympics Northern California.

Schools that participate in minimum of three Whole-School Involvement activities during a single school year are honored for promoting unity and respect and for rallying their school in support of Special Olympics. These schools receive a banner that can be displayed for years to come and are recognized as Champion Schools.
