Special Olympics Fresno County Schools Partnership Program

The Fresno Unified School District and Special Olympics Northern California formed a unique partnership to make Special Olympics an integral part of special education in Fresno County.  In additon to the three schoo-day sports (basketbal, soccer and track & field), many of the Schools Partnership Program student-athletes also compete in some of the 11 traditional community sports offered by Special Olympics Northern California.

Like our other schools partnership programs the Fresno program is mostly contained within the school day.  This maximizes  the ability for students to participate in sports and to utilize what is learned on the courts and fields as tools in the classrooms.
