at this year's 6th Annual Power Pull Event benefiting Special
Olympics @ California's Great America on
Saturday, July 19th, 2008.
What IS the Power Pull?
The Power Pull is a fantastic competitive event made up of rivaling teams to
pull a Central Concrete Truck, filled with gravel weighing approximately 38,000
pounds, and a Sunnyvale DPS Fire Truck filled with water weighing approximately
66,000 pounds. Teams come together to pull and tug their hardest to raise money
and awareness for the athletes of Special Olympics. Special Olympics Northern
California provides year round sports training and competition at no cost to
children and adults with developmental disabilities.
When is the Power Pull?
Saturday, July 19, 2008, Registration begins at 8:30am
Where will the Power Pull be held?
Great America, Celebration Plaza
Is there parking available?
PRIOR to 9:00 am and parking is free and available in any of
the main Great America parking lots.
What is the team fee to participate in the Power Pull?
The team entrance fee is a $1500.00 donation to Special Olympics which includes
a Special Olympics athlete assigned as lead-puller, admission to Great America
and picnic lunch for all team members. Please contact Andrea Schofield at the
