Reach for the Gold

Summer Games LogoParticipate in the Reach for the Gold Campaign and help raise much needed funds for Special Olympics Northern California. Special Olympics Northern California provides year round sports training and competition opportunities FOR FREE for children and adults with developmental disabilities. Your support is needed more than ever.

Raise $125 and you’ve earned a Special Olympics sweatshirt with your funds supporting one of the 850 Special Olympics athletes who will be participating in the 2009 Special Olympics Northern California Summer Games. There are many ways to join the campaign. Set a monetary goal and collect pledges on-line by asking family, friends and co-workers to make a donation. Be a team captain and invite family, friends and co-workers to join your team.

The campaign culminates on June 27 with the Reach for the Gold 5k walk/run on the UC Davis campus. Everyone who raises funds is invited (but not required) to participate in the walk/run. The UC Davis Campus will be hosting the 2009 Special Olympics Northern California Summer Games with over 800 Special Olympics athletes competing in aquatics, bocce, tennis or track & field.

Everyone who raises $125 will receive a Special Olympics Northern California sweatshirt!
