Each team is required to appoint a Team Captain. We have found that the most successful Team Captains are not a skiing member of the team. The Team Captain for each race team is the liaison between Special Olympics and their respective team. The role of the Team Captain is to coordinate the event for their team and rally participation and excitement internally. The responsibilities of a Captain occur prior and during the event with minimal responsibilities post the event.
