Since 2006, Wal*Mart
California (Region 19) and Special Olympics have joined together
to create "A Golden Partnership" which has raised more
than $1,350,000 for the athletes of Special Olympics. This Golden
Partnership has helped more than 2,700 athletes receive the benefits
of health and fitness through sports in their local communities
where Wal*Mart exists. In 2008, the goal of this partnership
is to raise $1 million additional dollars to support 2,000 additional
athletes. Wal*Mart management and associates come together to
volunteer, raise funds and public awareness in the local communities
where they work.
Please support the Wal*Mart Golden Partnership by shopping at
Wal*Mart, purchasing supporting brands such as Tide, Pampers,
Pepsi, Frito Lay, Kraft , Nestle Waters and Ghirardelli Chocolates.
Join in the fun with Wal*Mart associates as they raise money
to help achieve the goal of $1,000,000 by organizing car washes,
BBQ's, pie throwing contests, dunk booths and other fun activities.
And lastly, if you are a golfer, join us at 1 of 15 locations
at the Wal*Mart Golf for
the Gold Classic on Monday, October
