This is a Tip-a-Cop with a unique twist!  On August 22, 2016 come to your local Texas Roadhouse restaurant between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm and you'll enjoy a  free lunch (yes FREE) served by your local law enforcement personnel.

Not only does Safeway employ many of our athletes, they understand the importance of Special Olympics and the difference it makes in the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Long time Special Olympics athletes, Tim Collie and Sinclair Darr returned from the 2016 Special Olympics Summer Games victorious.  Tim participated in bocce and brought home a 5th place ribbon and Sinclair brought home the gold in the 50 meter freestyle swim.  But now back at home, with awards tucked away, it is back to work they go at Swirlz.

The weekend of June 24, 2016 over 1,000 athletes and volunteer coaches descended on the U.C. Davis campus to compete in the 2016 Special Olympics Northern California Summer Games.  After weeks of training, followed by participation at a Regional competition, athletes competed in aquatics, bocce, tennis or track & field.
