Olympic Village

Olympic Village provides the athletes the opportunity to relax, make new friends and unwind in between their competitive events. Athletes can visit the Law Enforcement Torch Run booth to hobnob with their favorite officers, participate in arts and crafts, and enjoy the latest hits played by an onsite deejay.

Of course, athletes, families and visitors also are invited to visit the merchandise booth where all kinds of Special Olympics merchandise will be available for purchase. New this year is a 2008 Summer Games Souvenir Program, complete with a delegation listing, schedules, autograph page and much more. This is a great item for the athlete and family who want a keepsake of a memorable experience.

The Olympic Village is located in Haas Pavilion. It will be open from noon to 9 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.

How to Be a Fan
Special Olympics Northern California is free to our athletes and families, but we need your help. The lives of more than 13,000 children and adults with developmental disabilities have been changed by providing them with the opportunity to participate in sports, be part of team, make friends and discover that they can achieve and belong.

Many others just like them would like to have the same opportunities - to train and compete in their local communities and be part of a movement that doesn't discriminate but builds character and independence. With your help, we can reach many more people with developmental disabilities. Sign up to Be a Fan and be a fan of acceptance, determination and courage.
